Cydnei Mallory

Cydnei Mallory is an interdisciplinary artist who is interested in how materiality informs issues of gender, sexuality, stereotypes and class. Her works are often comprised of cast metals, rope, fabrics,  hairnets, silicone and hair. By combining traditional and non-traditional ways of making, her works challenge the binaries of fine art and craft, handmade and industrial manufacture, the delimited object and performativity.

Bio: Cydnei Mallory recieved her MFA from Arizona State University and her B.F.A. from Pennsylvania State University. She has regularly shown her work in Pittsburgh and State College PA.
